Micil Distillery is named in honour of their great-great-great grandfather, Micil Mac Chearra, who began distilling poitín in 1848 on a Connemara hillside. For six generations and over 170 years the family have preserved the craft, distilling extraordinary spirits made using family recipes, craft knowledge and time-honoured techniques.
These are the oldest Micil Inverin blend to be released to date at 6 years old. A Single Cask Whiskey finished in a custom made 64 litre cask selected for its distinct flavour characteristics and exclusively produced by Micil for The Corkscrew.
