This is a 6 year old single malt first aged in ex bourbon casks before being finished at sea in a ruby port quarter cask. The gently rock of the waves increases the contact with the wood allowing it to impart more flavour to the the Whiskey.
Ann Murray, a spirited woman from Waterfoot, born in 1747, whose ingenuity and defiance became legend throughout the Glens of Antrim. Ann ‘Nanny’ Murray lived as a hermit in a nearby cave. She was famous for her poteen – which she gave away to avoid paying duty, but charged for water to accompany it. Ann often made the short journey along the coast to Carnlough, where many loyal and thirsty customers awaited her.
