Louis Roederer, the largest independent family-managed Champagne producer, is esteemed as one of the finest in the region. Established in 1776, the House is currently overseen by seventh-generation family member Frédéric Rouzaud and Champagne legend Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon. With an impressive 242 hectares of vineyards primarily located in chalk-rich Grand Cru villages, they cover a significant portion of their grape supply. Roederer has been at the forefront of biodynamic farming practices, with all 78 hectares of "Cristal Estates" converted to biodynamic methods by 2012 and 115 hectares certified organic by 2021.
