This remarkable terroir expresses itself in the complex aromas, flavours and especially, textures of Overture. While it is officially a non-vintage wine and the exact vintages aren’t stated, the 2022 bottling is a blend of two of Napa’s top recent vintages – the 2018 and 2019, of which 2019 makes up a large part. A high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon was used in this bottling (at 95%), giving the wine impressive structural depth and beautifully fresh blackcurrant fruit. In comparison to the Opus One, it is more on the red fruit spectrum with raspberry and cherry fruit and is already beautifully open and enjoyable. Medium-bodied and (like the Opus One) a restrained style for Napa, there is stunning clarity to the primary fruit. Delicate pepper spice from high-quality oak adds complexity.The best vintage to date.ABV 14.5%
